Torpid: (adj.) mentally/physically inactive; lethargic

a) Torpor: (n.) a state of mental or physical lethargy; dormant, inactive state of a hibernating animal

b) Torpidity: (n.) a state of mental or physical lethargy

Stupor: (n.) near-unconsciousness or insensibility (esp. due to extreme causes like alcohol intake, lack of sleep, etc.)
- He was in such great stupor after taking the drug in that he nearly killed himself while trying to walk to his bedroom.

Sloven: (n.): a person who is habitually careless in appearance/work
- The boss, who soon realized that the new employee was only a sloven, fired him the next week.

Callous (adj.): having cruel disregard for others / emotionally hardened
- His callous remarks about how people should all die, regardless of their characteristics, made me wonder if he was really a consultant whom I want to trust or learn from.
- The frequent deaths of the people around him made him callous to losing someone he loves.

Impassive: (adj.) not feeling or showing emotion
- How could somebody remain impassive while listening to such an inspirational speech as this?

Stolid: (adj.) calm, and showing little emotion or animation
- Although he seems to be stolid on the outside, his appearnace deceives: he is in fact a very emotionally passionate man.
